BNI Ashford was kindly invited by BNI Maidstone Pioneer chapter for a Darts competition and we gladly accepted the challenge. So yesterday 9 Ashford chapter members travelled all the way up north to the location the Pioneer gang had organised in Aylesford.
Our team:
Our captain Shelley Hathawy-Batt, Geoff Tolson, Julian Grigg-Waklin, Danny Clements (Team Ashford A); Jon Mac, Tim Chappell, Bob Spink, Catherine Velge, Karin Hermans (team Ashford B) and graciously assisting our team A - playing for 'the competition' - Alice Spink (Windmill Communications) of the Pioneer chapter.

The Pioneer team:
Dave Bilington, Mark Horner & partner Maureen, Mark Nelson & partner Julie, Keith Briscall & partner Dahpne, Bryan Relf, Julian Ackroyd and Neil Finney.

After both Ashford A and B team won their best out of three against Pioneer A and B the teams were switched around (Ashford A against Pioneer B etc) to see if that made a difference. But alas, again the Ashford teams were hitting the doubles better (to be honest, just a bit sooner) than Pioneer.

So, Shelley had the honour to receive the first ever (?) trophy Ashford chapter has won - and Alice Spring was awarded the price for best individual player of the evening.

Many thanks for organising this social and sportive event, we all had a very good time!
